Human and Hope Association is entirely run by local Khmer staff. We strongly believe that locals are the subject-matter experts, know the community and culture best, and can provide long-term support and consistency.

Salin Loeum - Managing Director
Salin is a co-founder of HHA, and is passionate about education. He was on the Diana Award Honour Roll in 2019.

Chanthen Hong - Programs Manager
After spending six years studying abroad, Chanthen is excited to come back to Siem Reap and use her skills to create positive impacts in her community.

Sophary Seng - HOPE Sewing Enterprise Coordinator
With more than eight years of experience in the hotel, tourism, and retail industry, Sophary is eager to use her skills for the good of the community.

Sikeang Nem - Community and HUSK Coordinator
After more than 10 years in the private sector, Sikeang wishes to use his skills for the good of the community. His strong work ethics and good people skills have made him a valuable addition to our team.

Chomrong Chhoeung - Sewing Teacher
A graduate of HHA's sewing program, Chomrong has worked at HHA since 2016. She is passionate about helping women in her community overcome poverty.

Phalla Yorn - Sewing Teacher
Phalla graduated from our sewing program in 2013. She was on the Diana Award Honour Roll in 2020 thanks to her commitment to helping women achieve financial independence.

Visa Ouk - Education & Community Assistant
Visa has a strong passion for education and comunity work, which is evident in the high regards her students hold for her and her active assistance in our community projects. She is completing her Bachelor’s Degree in TESOL.

Chantrey Tra - Education & Library Assistant
Chantrey transitioned from private school teaching after COVID-19. Learning about HHA from a neighbor, she enthusiastically applied to be a teacher. Her dedication to teaching reflects in her creativity. She is currently completing her Bachelor's Degree in TESOL.

Dareya Chuk - English & Khmer Teacher
After three years teaching at private school, Dareya wishes to get involved in community work through her teaching skills. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from the Royal University of Law and Economics.

Pheakdey Keo - Accountant
Pheakdey joined us in 2020 after moving to Siem Reap from a rural area. She loves using her accounting skills to support our community.

Sophy Rien - Sustainability Assistant
Sophy lives just 300 metres from HHA! She is responsible for taking care of our garden, cooking staff lunches, cleaning and promoting HHA to the community. Sophy's four children study with us.

Sangorb Chham - Seamstress
Sangorb is a graduate from our sewing program. Her life has changed a lot as currently, she is not only our seamstress, but she has her own sewing shop and small grocery shop at home which she can earn a good income to support her family.

Samphors Vey - Seamstress
Samphors is a graduate from our sewing program. Besides working as our seamstress, Samphors set up her sewing shop at home and also learn English with us.

Sreythom Tin - Seamstress
Sreythom is a graduate from our sewing program. Currently, Sreythom makes products for us and sets up her business at home. She dreams to be a famous tailor in her community.

Savis Pep - Seamstress
Savis is a graduate from our sewing program. Before joining us as one of the seamstresses, she has a small shop at home. Now she also makes products for us and hopes expand her home shop.

Savis Huo - Security Guard
Savis has been working with HHA since 2019. She lives near by with her parents.

Don Doeum - Security Guard
Don is the ‘father’ of our young team. He initially worked as a security guard for us over Khmer New Year 2013, then to build new desks for our classrooms. Don now works four evenings a week at HHA, and spends his spare time with his wife and children in our surrounding commune

Leangsoy Hoy - Health Volunteer
Leangsoy is passionate about improving health issues in Cambodia. He currently works at the Hospital for Children in Siem Reap. He has been awarded a scholarship from SE Asia Foundation to study Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He has spent his time working and volunteering in the health sector for many years. He is going to spend 1000 hours of his time volunteering as our health coordinator at HHA.
Board of Directors
Our governing board was hand picked due to their professionalism, knowledge, skills, compassion and commitment to ensuring HHA’s sustainable future. They follow our constitution and are on hand to give any advice if needed.
